Key Messages

	The London Mental Health Alliance is committed to a systems approach to addressing mental health issues. A system is perceived whole whose elements 'hang together' because they continually affect each other over time and operate toward a common purpose. In systems thinking, the 'structure' is the pattern of interrelationships among key components of the system. That might include the hierarchy and process flows, but it also includes attitudes and perceptions, the quality of products and hundreds of other factors. They are often built consciously or unconsciously, over time.
	The London Mental Health Alliance is a close network of services that promotes integration, efficiencies and effectiveness across the various components of the health system. The Alliance is a proactive leader in the planning and implementation of mental health services. The London Mental Health Alliance works collaboratively with its member agencies and other community services in this regard.
	The London Mental Health Alliance is committed to eliminating stigma and discrimination experience by individuals with mental illnesses through partnerships in education and advocacy.
	The London Mental Health Alliance is committed to the appropriate allocation of resources to support a full range of services to individuals and families. This includes primary, secondary, and tertiary care services in a continuum of care.
